Love is the doctrine of this church, the quest of truth is its sacrament, and service is its prayer.
To dwell together in peace, to seek knowledge in freedom, to work for justice through action,
and to serve others in community, to the end that all souls shall grow into harmony with creation,
thus do we covenant with one another.
- OUR AFFIRMATION.
Welcome to Westside UU Church!
We are a church where you are free to pursue your own spiritual path in an atmosphere of warmth and acceptance. In our community, what you believe is less important than how your beliefs guide your interactions with others and the world. We also strive to create a place where children can develop their ethics and principles without prescribed dogma.
Westside UU is a young and thriving church located just south of downtown Fort Worth, on 901 Page St, 76110. We are united by a covenant of care, mutual respect, and the freedom to independently search for truth and meaning. Be you theist, agnostic, humanist, or atheist, we strive to provide a full program of activities that will nourish your spirit and stimulate your mind.
Membership in our church is open to any person 18 years or older who is in sympathy with our purposes and programs and with the Principles of Unitarian Universalism. It is specifically understood that membership is open to all qualified persons regardless of race, color, sex, disability, affectional or sexual orientation, gender, gender expression, age, or national origin.
We are an 8th Principle Congregation meaning “We, the member congregations of the Unitarian Universalist Association, covenant to affirm and promote: journeying toward spiritual wholeness by working to build a diverse multicultural Beloved Community by our actions that accountably dismantle racism and other oppressions in ourselves and our institutions.”
