Endowment Committee

The Westside UU Church Endowment Fund was created to assist in assuring the long range financial future of the church and to help fund special projects that further the mission of the Church.

The Endowment Committee consists of six members of the Congregation proposed by the Nominating Committee and elected by the Congregation.

The Endowment Fund is governed by the Endowment Investment and Distribution Policy, which is proposed annually by Endowment Committee and approved by the Congregation. This policy outlines the guidelines for contributing, investing, monitoring, and distributing the funds.

As Unitarians Universalists we believe in an investment policy that follows our Seven Principles, while still seeking to achieve a well diversified, low cost, passively managed fund. Therefore the Endowment Committee has created a Socially Responsible Investing Policy.

And finally, the Endowment Committee educates members and friends on the ways to give to Westside and aids with estate planning.
